The Bush Factor

Mar 08 If you think Karl Rove and his dirty tricksters are gone, just wait. No matter who their candidate, they will do their thing.

The list of lies and dirty tricks is almost as long as the list of scandalous things perpetrated by the Preisdent and his gang of goons. From Haliburton to Tom DeLay, from the attack on Max Cleland to Swift Boat, these people are gutter snipes.

Remember that if your favorite Dem doesn't win the primary.

Posted 3 24 07 IS GEORGE BUSH A GOOD AMERICAN? Secretary of State Rice, Secretary of Defense Gates, and just about everyone else has told Mr. Bush that the prison in Cuba for detainees is illegal. They have advised him to charge the prisoners in a military court and to bring the 'terrorists' to trial ... with a lawyer. Mr. Bush has refused. The facts are that we do torture, that we do deny basic human rights and that we are acting like a facist state. Mr. Bush doesn't seem to care. Much of the rest of the world thinks America has strayed off course. Mr. Bush does not seem to care. A recent poll of Americans showed that we the people do not believe the President is acting in a manner consistent with our ideals. Mr. Bush does not care. Therein lies the problem. We have a renegade President, a cowboy shooting from the hip, and he does not care. Years from now, when history judges America for our current actions, Mr. Bush will be blamed, Mr. Bush will be castigated, and we , the American people, will have to live with his legacy.

Religious fanatics of any faith are dangerous. The lunatics who blow themselves up in Israel or Iraq are indeed worse than the fanatics who toil for the extreme edge of the Christian Evangelical movement. BUT, the American religious right is dangerous, let that be known! While Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell have never advocated the killing of anyone, their ideas are destroying a country that once upon a time was a shining beacon to the world.

Now we have a country where people can be spied on, can be arrested without habeus corpus, can be incarcerated without attorney and can be held for an indefinite period of time.

This is also now a country where a woman's right to choose will soon be history, where books will be burned and where Church and State will change to Church IN state. The recent defeat of "Intelligent Design" does not mean it is dead. This is not the America we grew up with. This is the America of George Bush, Carl Rove and Raplh Reed. Their agenda is not the agenda of inclusion. Their vision of the future is so far from the one envisioned by the Founding Fathers as to be a travesty. Beware of them.

Years from now, the legacy of George W. Bush will that of a very successful liar, guiding an administration of nefarious men and women who have discovered that to lie succesfully you must do it often and with fervor.

The Karl Rove affair did not really threaten Valerie Plame's life. That, of course, is hardly the point. The fact is, that Mr. Bush knows full well that Rove, for whatever reason, made a huge error. The Bush Factor, as we call his morality, the Bush factor is that he has rationalized the problem away.

As Justice Roberts heads towards his showdown with Congress, we are now told, "Well, there are certain things he said while working for two past administrations, that cannot be revealed to Congress." Mind you, Carl Rove can expose a CIA agent, but the memos of Justice Roberts are too 'private' for publication.

This is the Bush Factor at work.

There is a culture of lying by the Bush administration that is akin to Nazi Germany. Hitler said, "if you tell a lie often enough, someone will believe it."

A Bush mid level official, a lawyer not a scientist, edits a report on the environment and makes it seem like global warming is a joke. The polar caps melt, and the President says, 'there's no real proof.' There is, if his people didn't edit the reports. Another Bush Administration person tells us the economy gained 78,000 jobs in May '05. He forgot to tell us that the hoped for gain would be close to 200,000 jobs. Yet another Bush statement is that 500 million dollars will be given to aid for Africa. He forgot to tell us that the money had already been appropriated by Congress, and that it fell far short of the 5 billion dollars that Tony Blair asked for.

We now find out that over 100 detaineees have died in US custody, that at least 10,000 Iraqi civilians have been killed since the war began, and that overcharges to the administration by companies in Iraq are enormous. And, it's not just Halliburton. A heathcare company received 400 million dollars and basically did nothing to earn it. Officials now call it a complete debacle. People died in Iraqi hospitals because basic things such as bandages were not available. Yet, the Administration not only paid the bill, they gave the company another contract.

This is an incompetent, lying group of folks, who are raping our country.

The Jeff Gannon case is a snowball heading downhill. Nixon had his Watergate, and who knows where Gannongate will go.

If you are unfamiliar with the story, this is the synopsis. Jeff Gannon is the phony name of a fake journalist. This fraud somehow had access to the White House Briefing rooms. As security is very tight normally, it is impossible for anyone to gain access without the knowledge of those in charge. Mr. Gannon was exposed after months of questions which made the President look good, often having favorable political remarks. Turns out Mr. Gannon runs a male prostitute service on the web, and may be the person who ran to Sean Hannity exposing Dan Rather. How did he get that information? Obviously Gannon was a hired gun of the administration, and Rather was set up. When Dopey Dan fell for the fake documents re Bush and the Air National Guard, all that remained was for an insider to expose the fact that Rather had fallen for false info. It is probable that Rather was set up by Republicans who fed him a fake story, then exposed by those same Republicans.

Anyway, Gannon has now quit his phony job, the administration denies all knowledge of this, and the liberal media hasn't picked up on it. Plain and simple it's a dirty trick, perpetuated by a slimy President. The problem is that Bush won't be impeached and he has four years left to turn this country over to the screwballs of the far right.
Mar 2005

The horrors of Iraq are not really being told by the media. If you go to the websites of any of the troops, and there are lots of them, you will read of the obscenity that this has all become. It isn't only the dead, but the maimed and scarred whom we mourn. If you haven't seen combat, it is a disgusting monstrosity that transcends the initial shock we have when reading of American deaths.

And, for what? Will Iraq ever embrace democracy? Will they ever put down their religious books and pick up a baseball scorecard? Will they teach their kids about fair play or will their particular culture just obliterate our efforts? Are American lives being wasted in a cause that just cannot succeed?

The thought that in four years they will have done a 180 from 5000 years of cultural evolution is ridiculous.

We have a suggestion. It is blatantly an insult to our troops for people here to party while they die. Therefore we suggest that a national movement begin that asks the President to call off all inauguration parties. Use the money to buy armor plating for Humvees.

In the Oliver Stone movie about JFK, there is a scene where Kevin Costner, playing the District Attorney, talks about the possible assasination of Kennedy by the CIA. Kennedy was against a war in Viet Nam. "Wars generate billions of dollars, and people will kill for billions of dollars," says the D.A. Well, guess what. It's still true.Picture the inner sanctums of the Bush White house prior to Shock and Awe. Picture a group of greedy men thinking of ways to turn 9/11 into money. Picture someone saying, "You know, a war against Hussein could make a ton of money."

If you are the CEO of Halliburton, you start to drool. If you manufacture guns or butter, you see dollar bills.

Is this another conspiracy theory? No, my friends, this is stark reality. Why do you think those men take their jobs in Washington? Is it dedication to the country? Let's not be naive here.

So, there was a rush to war. Not enough troops? No problem. We'll win in a walk. But, we didn't. Now, 350 tons of high explosives are missing. There weren't enough troops to guard the munituions dump.

When these munitions are made into bombs that kill Americans, will someone tell George W. Bush that it was his brilliant idea that we rush to war.....Shelby Singer

There is no end to the dirty tricks of the Bush Administration. The attacks on John Kerry's war record make one wonder if there is any length to which the President will not go.

Radio Announcer, Jack Ellery, in New Jersey stated succinctly, "I don't care if Kerry was a cook. He was there. Whether he got a mosquito bite or a shrapnel wound, he was there."

If one bothers to look up where others were, one will find that the President, the Vice President and the Secretary of Defense were not there. One might ask why.

The yahoos of America will believe just about anything but the truth. Forget about them. There is no changing their silly minds. Concentrate instead on getting out the vote of those who will push the KERRY lever.....Bob Adams

I'm no Nostradamus, but no matter what your political affiliation, ponder this. The future of your country demands that you just consider the possibility. Reject it if you want, freedom of thought is our heritage.

The Bush camp has attempted a dozen ways to skirt the law. The Patriot act, the proposed anti-gay marriage amendment, the appointments of Federal judges when Congress was not in session, no bid contracts to Halliburton, ignoring the Kyoto accords on the environment - the list goes on and on. Now, Tom Ridge hints at postponing the elections.

Is it in the realm of possibility that the administration would concoct some phony terror attack on this country as a guise to postponing the election? Before you say "Another nutty conspiracy theory" - is it possible the CIA allowed the Cubans to kill JFK? Is it possible the CIA killed the President of Sout Viet Nam, ran guns during the Sandanista-Contra war and killed several South American Presidents? Did Lyndon Johnson invent the "Gulf of Tonkin" incident whereby the government falsely reported a US warship had been attacked, digging us deeper into Viet Nam? These are not conspiracy theories of a few lunatics. Finally, did Adolph Hitler not kill a few Polish 'invaders' then declare Germany had been invaded and had to fight back?

Bush is a desperate megalomanic. His 20 years of alcoholism have me worried that he is not rational. Above all, the scoundrels who surround him are so desperate, that some sort of reverse coup d'etat is not beyond them. Should they actually attempt to usurp power, there would be a revolution in this country and George Bush would love that. He would attempt to crush it, proclaiming emergency powers, and ending his opposition once and for all. Think it's impossible? Who would have dreamed that he could steal the last election by having his brother rig the Florida voting? Who would have dreamed he would bypass the United Nations and go to war in Iraq? Who would have dreamed that this kissin-kin of the Saudi Royal Family would lead us to $2.00 a gallon gasoline? Who would have dreamed he would send men off to war ill prepared for combat, and then lower their benefits? Who would dream he would cut veteran's benefits and give the rich a tax break?

I interviewed a leading psychiatrist from George Washington University Medical Center, Dr. Justin Frank. Based on Bush's violent, alcoholic past, based on his bizarre actions, based on his rigidity of thought, based on his indecision after 9/11, based on his religious fanaticism (God talked to me), Dr. Frank believes the President is mentally ill.

David Kay, George Tenant, Richard Clarke and Paul O'Neil can't all be wrong. The President is an incompetent, lying, religious extremist who is as dangerous to us as Sheik Al Sadr is to Iraq. The sheik did all he could to delay a democratic government in Iraq. Let's hope that 10/06 is not another 9/11.
